My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi. We moved to Chowchilla, CA in 1976 and I was one of the 26 children taken hostage in a school bus and we had to dig a tunnel out of the quarry we were buried in (Google it). As a 13 year old I won the Scripps National Spelling Bee and then graduated from Stanford at the age of 17 while playing small roles in many movies such as Three Men and a Baby, Wall Street, The Witches of Eastwick and RoboCop. Retiring from soccer after leading the US to the round of 16 in the 1994 FIFA World Cup I started focusing on family. In 1996 I had my first son Christopher Ryan and in 1999 Michael Santo was born. Wanting my boys to not just hear stories about their dad’s past but to see him in action, I started training for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece where I took Gold for the Netherlands (my Mom’s home country) in the Equestrian Individual dressage event. I have competed in many TV reality shows such as The Apprentice, Big Brother, The Amazing Race and finished 2nd in Season 7 of Americas Got Talent. I have been the voice of He-Man, Eeyore, Olaf from Frozen and am the culinary mastermind behind the McRib and the McDLT. After busting from the 2010 WSOP Main Event on Day 3 (to a 1 outer on the river) this is my first time returning to the felt.
